Millennium Studios - The Story
In late 2009, the opportunity arose in the glorious North Bedfordshire countryside. After a year of renovation the studios were ready and by late 2010, Millennium Studios was open for business.
From Elstree to Bedfordshire - taking music videos and tour rehearsals out to the country, where easier access and better rates leaves London in the dark ages!
Our story begins in 1993 with the establishment of Millennium Studios Elstree. We were a modern addition to the great film and TV production legacy already in Elstree. The studio was primarily developed for drama and TV production but also for music videos and tour rehearsals, which is where the passion lies for owner and MD, Mr Ronan Willson; an expert lighting designer who worked with some of the biggest metal and rock bands in the 70's and 80's including Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and AC/DC.
Millennium Studios Elstree ran very well for a number of years but a time came within the industry when it was advantageous to exit the site and concentrate on ELP's business. However Ronan's passion for music remained and it was always his intention to resurrect Millennium Studios as and when a suitable location came up.
Fast forward to 2019, with a busy diary and huge demand from clients, a second sound stage was created. The former simulation building (Building 126) was fully refurbished and renamed 'B' Stage. The walls have been sound treated and blacked out, a grid at 15.8m is being constructed and an acoustically insulated rolling loading door finishes the stage perfectly.
